On March first I had an echocardiogram. They use ultrasound to look at how blood is moving around in your heart. The machine makes pictures with colors denoting the direction and speed of the blood and makes sounds based on something the ultrasound wand is picking up.
I haven’t got anything from the echocardiogram report to share with you except a picture of the equipment:
The results were not too worrisome. I knew I had a leaking mitral valve and that has not gotten worse. They also found a slight leak in an aortic valve that is of little concern. So a clean enough bill of health to go into surgery. Another pre-surgery milestone passed.
