Steve Blanchard was a computer science wizard who lived in the scenic Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. Steve was a master of technical puzzles and other arcana.

His elegant solutions to stumpers like The Seven-Eiffel-Tower Problem were the wonder--and the envy--of the teams of professional experts across the river at MIT. 

Among his youthful admirers, Steve's long years of computer work had earned him the sobriquet "the Brainiac from way back."

Blanchard could tell Kush if his Eiffel Tower idea was truly original. It could be a rehash of prior art. Still, It just might be something.
