We took the hydrofoil Peterhof (Peter's Palace) and arrived before
any of the 49 fountains were
turned on. So we toured other parts of the grounds. This is the Marly Palace:

The fountains are on now.

There seemed to be as many caretakers as there were fountains.

That's the Grand Canal leading up to the Grand Palace behind those two tourists.

The center of this fountain rotates.

Kind of like Versaille, isn't it?

Now we're at the Grand Palace looking down on the Grand Canal. Can't you imagine
the traffic jam before a big party?

The Ballroom.

Mirrors were all the rage when Peter's Palace was built.
