As they raced down the subway steps, Donna pulled a thirteen-round Braunshweig & Fils 203C from her satchel. The token seller waved them through. Trains were supposed to skip the closed station, but she flagged one down with the pistol.

She has amazing luck, Kush thought. The odds that the next train would be an E were one in four--at best. Yet here they were, going up the steps of an E Line car.

"Empty the train, or I empty this into your cranium." She held the barrel to the driver's head.

In a flash, Kush realized Donna had more in mind than turnstile-jumping. She's hijacking the train! 

He watched her from the lower steps. She held the pistol sideways, elbow out. With one foot forward, her stance made a fold across her narrow skirt, just below the buttocks.
