Shirley and Andrew were about to leave for the Arboretum when the police came.

They wanted to talk. 

There had been a terrible mistake.

They needed her help.

With exaggerated formality, Shirley poured coffee from a Krups 6BZ6.

At first the story seemed like a set-up, but the pieces began to fall into place.

As a publicity stunt, The Publisher had temporarily held back shipments of The Buonorotti Anagram. News coverage of his visit would feature empty shelves and long lines. 

At Harvard University, surrounded by a distinguished panel of Symbolologists, he planned to announce an "emergency shipment" to Boston of the phenomenally popular tome.

Finally, the police brought in The Publisher himself. With a rueful look, he opened a Louis Vuitton two-suiter.

Stacks of The Buonorotti Anagram glowed like ingots.
