Sally Smith was planning another reunion, but it has been cancelled.

Notice from Sally February 11, 2007, 10:06 pm:

Dear Friends,

I regret to inform you that I have cancelled the Webutuck Fall 2007 Reunion. Since the Millennium Reunion when so many of you stated that you wished it had been longer, my plan was to provide an event that would take us from Friday lunch to Sunday brunch. In addition, I was planning on offering situations where you could pick and choose various events: from staying at the ranch and participating in all events, or attending any of the events individually.

However, Roseland Ranch consistently failed to respond timely and favorably to most of my requests, even the simple ones. The only time anyone from the ranch would call me or email me would be when Donna Miller Kaplan or Tom Williams paid them a personal visit requesting them to do so. After words not leading to action, and after over two and one-half months of this behavior, I decided to call it quits.

I stated the following in my cancellation notice to Roseland Ranch:

"Past actions are an excellent predictor for future behavior. I have no way of knowing what your future actions will be, and I have a lot riding on this event with hundreds of people expecting me to provide an excellent time for them. I cannot, and will not, take the risk of spending their time and money on a business I cannot trust to provide the services promised to insure them a great time.

Therefore, I am canceling any plans for a reunion at Roseland Ranch. It is indeed a great loss to my former classmates not to have this reunion which they were all looking forward to, but I would rather not have one than have one that would be a disappointment to them."

I am truly sorry that I had to take this course of action. I put a lot of work into it up to this point and was optimistic that, had they provided good customer service, this would have been one wonderful time.

I think it's too late to plan something for this fall at this late date. If you would like me to try again for next year, I would be happy to do so. Please let me know at sallyannsmith@gmail.com.

To all classmates:

I have hit a snag in the negotiations with Roseland Ranch; however, it appears all will be working out just fine with the exception of a delay in getting the flyers mailed out on the desired date. Please be patient, they will be mailed within the next two weeks, I hope. In the meantime, please check this Website for an update and a PDF version of the flyer for your convenience.

This is going to be one fabulous weekend, and certainly worth the wait for the flyers! I thank you for your patience.

Here are the details as of January 7, 2007, from Sally:

The Fall 2007 Webutuck Reunion for Classes 1955-1964 will be held at Roseland Ranch in Stanfordville, NY on September 28, 29 & 30, 2007.

Roseland Ranch is under new ownership and is being totally remodeled. This three-day event will offer dining, dancing, entertainment, games, swimming, and horseback riding to name a few.

The entire weekend at the Ranch will include Friday lunch and dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, cocktail party with open bar for one hour, dinner, and dancing to 50's and 60's music; Sunday will offer a brunch. You will be provided with options of staying at the ranch or, in the alternative, stay off premises and attend a couple or all
events.

Sally will be mailing the information with pricing and forms sometime in January. Please be watching for it in the mail. In the meantime, if you have moved, or know of anyone who has moved since the Millennium Reunion, please email this information to Sally at sallyannsmith@gmail.com.
